Smoke School Info - Davenport, Iowa

If you are new to smoke school, Aeromet recommends viewing their EPA Method 9 lecture CD before attending the public smoke school in Davenport. You can find information about our lecture CD here. It is also recommended that you attend the First Time Opacity Observer Orientation which starts at 7:30 A.M. at the Davenport public smoke school event.  Orientation is free with a paid field registration.

IMPORTANT:  Iowa DNR requires that all smoke school attendees observe 500 opacity readings as part of their initial certification.  This is a one-time only requirement.  Aeromet performs the 500 observations for initial certification at the Des Moines public smoke school.  There is no additional charge for this service.  Please call Aeromet with any questions regarding this Iowa-specific requirement.
