Aeromet's smoke school program has undergone a Federal audit and is a valid EPA Method 9 certification course in Ohio. You will be certified to conduct EPA Method 9 Observations after successful completion of any of our Ohio public smoke schools. We return to each public location every 6 months to ensure your certification does not expire.
If you are a first-time smoke school attendee, it is strongly recommended that you view the visible emission observation lecture CD before attending an Ohio public smoke school. Information about our lecture CD can be found here. Additionally, it is recommended that you attend our First Time Opacity Observer Orientation which starts at 7:30 A.M. at each Aeromet public smoke school.
