Our smoke school program has undergone a Federal audit and is approved in South Carolina. After successful completion of an Aeromet smoke school, you will be certified to conduct EPA Method 9 Observations. We return to each public location every 6 months to ensure your certification does not expire.
For first time smoke school attendees, we strongly recommend reviewing our visible emission observation lecture CD before attending a public smoke school. Information about our lecture CD can be found here. Additionally, it is recommended that you attend our First Time Opacity Observer Orientation which starts at 7:30 A.M. at each Aeromet public smoke school event.

Private EPA Method 9 Certification courses are available throughout South Carolina and can offer significant cost-savings over public smoke schools depending on the number of attendees you have.
